"Hello!" Testing the waters before the release of the premiere album. A perfect time to preview what's coming up as the music enters final production.

Most of the music is on the darker side. Songs that start off on a lighter note usually end up somewhere in between. Calling the music/artist Dark Pale made sense and terminated a frustrating name game that was revisited over the years.

I've always found that compared to writing music, lyrics are the greater challenge. I think love songs are an easy way out. Boy meets girl... girl leaves boy... boy murders girl... Oops, there's that "Dark" side popping up again. Maybe it has something to do with being a night person. I've been up all night as far back as I can remember. The world is yours while everyone sleeps. You can focus on what you're doing without distractions or interruptions. It's a peaceful and better part of the day in many ways.

I'm lucky enough to be surrounded by family and love at home and able to enjoy giving it back. I never had an interest in writing love songs though. Don't get me wrong. I don't hate on it but do believe it's best left to someone like Lennon who summed the entire love song thing up in one simply called "Love." (Listen Here) If that was the only song ever written on the subject, we may have never needed another.
