Dark Pale World Premiere Album

"Hello!" Testing the waters before the release of the premiere album. A perfect time to preview what's coming up as the music goes into the final mixing and mastering stages and the store gets integrated into the website.

A little info... So why the name Dark Pale? Most of the things I write seem to end up on the darker side. Enter the "Dark." Even songs that start off on the lighter side usually end up somewhere in between. Enter the "Pale." It just made sense after much brainstorming.

I've always found that compared to writing the music parts, lyrics have always been the greater challenge. I think love songs are an easy way out. Boy meets girl... girl leaves boy... boy murders girl... Oops, there's that "Dark" side popping up again. Maybe it has something to do with being a night person. I've been up all night as far back as I can remember. It seems like you have the world to yourself while everyone around you sleeps and you can focus much better on whatever it is you're doing without distraction.

I'm lucky to be surrounded by a loving family in my home and able to enjoy giving it back. I was never interested in writing love songs though. Don't get me wrong. I don't hate on it but I do believe you should leave that sort of thing to better interpreters like Lennon who summed it all up in a song simply called "Love." (Listen Here) If that was the only song ever written on the subject, we may have never needed another.
